Podcast Marketing, or Podcasting (Personal On-Demand Casting) is the method of creating and publishing audio programs via the Internet and allowing users to subscribe to a feed of new files (usually MP3s). Like RSS (Really Simple Syndication), Podcasting is typically based on a subscription model that uses a feed to deliver an enclosed file. Subscribers use "podcatching" software (a type of aggregator), which periodically checks for downloads for the subscribed feeds. Podcasting is essentially Blogging in audio format.
